Economic Development
The tribe realizes that in order to survive and prosper it must reach out and form strategic alliances with various partners. Potential partners can include both the public and private sector such as other tribes, corporations and government agencies.
The tribe has worked with the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, Chambers of Commerce, Oklahoma Indian Affairs Commission and other tribes on joint venture and strategic partnering in the past. The purpose of this formation is for various entities to bring relative strengths "to the table" that are not possessed by the other organization(s). A prime example of a current relationship is that with the Iowa Tribe and CH2MHILL in the Mentor-Protégé relationship in the construction arena.
