Vocational Rehabilitation

The Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma's Vocational Rehabilitation (ITOVR) Project provides vocational rehabilitation services to American Indians living in Pottawatomi, Lincoln, Payne, Pawnee, Logan, Kay, and Noble Counties. The ITOVR receives funding from the US Department of Education Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS). Therefore it must follow the OSERS guidelines and objectives, the primary objective being to assist disabled Indians to become gainfully employed.

The Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation program has outreach sites at the Absentee Shawnee Tribe on Tuesdays and the Citizen Potatwatomi Nation on Thursday. Also the program will meet with clients at the Pawnee, Otoe-Missouria, and Ponca Tribes by agreement.
