Vocational Rehabilitation

The Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma’s Vocational Rehabilitation (ITOVR) Program provides vocational rehabilitation services to American Indians living in Pottawatomie, Lincoln, Logan, Payne, Pawnee, Kay, and Noble Counties

The ITOVR receives funding from the US Department of Education Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS.) Therefore OSERS guidelines and objectives must be followed. The primary objective is to assist disabled Indians in becoming gainfully employed

The target age group for this program is 18-65

The ITOVR program has established outreach sites at the Citizen Pottawatomie Nation and Pawnee Tribe. The Program will also meet with clients at Institutions of Higher Education, the State Rehabilitation Offices, and the Otoe, Missouri, and Ponca tribes by appointment

To apply for the Vocational Rehabilitation service you need:
  • To complete an ITOVR application for services - [ Download Application ]
  • Proof of Disability; a physical or mental disability that causes substantial handicap to work (medical records, social security letter, etc)
  • Your Tribal enrollment card (Federally recognized Tribes only,)
  • Proof of residence
  • Proof of income
