Mission Statement:

The mission of the Iowa Tribe Child Care Program is to celebrate and support the diversity of families through services which are family driven, coordinated, integrated and culturally appropriate and comprehensive.

Tah-Je-Do-Weh Che is a tribally operated, DHS licensed child development center located 3 miles south of Perkins, West of highway 177. Funding is provided through the Child Care and Development Fund Block Grant and Early Head Start, both of which are governed by the Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families.

There is no application fee.

The Center serves families from all walks of life: Iowa Tribal members, children who have a CDIB and non-natives.

The Child Care Center serves ages 0 through 12.

We are a feed-on-demand, sleep-on-demand facility and serve breakfast, lunch, and snack from dietician-approved menus.
