Higher Education, Adult Vocational Training, Direct Employment and Job Placement
The Iowa Tribe has several programs to assist Iowa Tribal members in receiving an education at all levels. With proper documentation and application, Iowa tribe members may receive up to $400 per semester, or for married students, up to $530 per semester. In addition, grants for Adult Vocational Training are available for Tribal members and other Indians residing within the service area, contingent on the willingness to accept full time work when the training is completed.

The Johnson O'Malley Program
This is a special program that serves all school age, Indian children attending either Carney, Coyle, Guthrie, Perkins-Tryon, Ripley, and Stillwater. The Johnson O'Malley program provides educational support to sudents enrolled in the JOM Program, as well as assisting in tutoring for schoolwork, establishes positive Indian role models, provides a summer educational program, and year round recreational activities.

Job Placement and Training
The purpose of the employment assistance program is to assist Indian people who have a job skill to obtain and retain permanent employment. Applicants must be adult Indians residing within the service area and demonstrate a need for employment services. An applicant must be unemployed or underemployed to receive employment services. Only those applicants who declare a desire and intent to accept and retain full time permanent employment at the employment location shall be selected

Adult Education
Individuals must be at least 18 years of age, except when a high school student is 17 at graduation. Applicants must be in need of training in order to obtain reasonable employment and in need of financial assistance. Applicants must be willing to accept full time employment upon completion of the program.
