BJA Alcohol and Substance Program
- The objective of the BJA Alcohol and Substance program is to establish an organized recreation program for court-involved youth and those at risk.
- All youth receiving treatment services, or who are court involved will be required to participate in the organized sport component of the BJA Alcohol and Substance Program.
- Referrals may come from surrounding health and human service programs.
- Participation may also be voluntary.
- All recreation program activities will be designed to promote fitness, positive self-esteem, and cultural relevancy.
- The recreational leader will use these materials for rehabilitation and to boost participant’s self-esteem and confidence.
- There will be a number of activities that will incorporate goals and objectives that are defined and oriented towards crime and substance abuse prevention.
